The secondary conditioned response of rats and the effects of some psychopharmacological agents.

چکیده
These investigations were undertaken to determine if there was any corelation between the degree of granulation of the renal juxtaglomerular apparatus ( ]GA ) cells and changes in systematic blood pressure induced by hypotensive drugs. The hypotensive agents studied included dibenamine, chlorisondamine, alkavervir and hydralazine. Each dose was studied on a group of six albino rats or rabbits and the animals were sacrificed two hours after intravenous drug administration. The granulations of]GA responedto changes in blood pressure produced by these agents and various experimental procedures. The changes could be detected 30 minutes after the lowering of the blood pressure had begun. Many of the results obtained could be explained by the dirct action of corticotrophin (ACTH) upon the kidney. It has been suggested that ]GA may be the site of renin production.

In Vivo Psychopharmacological Investigation of Delphinium Denudatum and Amaranthus Spinosus Extracts on Wistar Rats
Introduction: In our modern era, life style of human being changes and updates every day that may affect their health status. There is an incredible expectation that natural origin drugs lack undesirable effects not like synthetic drugs, though have the same potency and efficacy. No scientific data is available about the antianxiety properties of Delphinium denudatum root and Amaranthus spinosu...
متن کاملBlockade of the Naloxone-induced Aversion in Morphine-conditioned Wistar Rats by L-Arginine Intra-central Amygdala
Objective(s) Single injection of naloxone, a selective antagonist of morphine, prior to the drug conditioning testing was used to investigate on morphine dependence. Materials and Methods Conditioning to morphine (2.5-10 mg/kg, s.c.) was established in adult male Wistar rats (weighing 200-250 g) using an unbiased procedure. Nitric oxide agents were microinjected into the central amygdala pri...
متن کاملReversal Effect of Intra-Central Amygdala Microinjection of L-Arginine on Place Aversion Induced by Naloxone in Morphine Conditioned Rats
Background: Role of nitric oxide (NO) on expression of morphine conditioning using a solely classic task has been proposed previously. In this work, the involvement of NO on the expression of opioid-induced conditioning in the task paired with an injection of naloxone was investigated. Methods: Conditioning was established in adult male Wistar rats (weighing 200-250 g) using an unbiased procedu...
متن کاملEffects of β-Estradiol on Enhanced Conditioned Fear Induced by Single Prolonged Stress and Shock in Rats
Introduction:This study examined the effects of administration of subcutaneous β-estradiol on PTSD-like symptoms (the enhanced conditioned fear response, CFR) that induced by a single-prolonged stress (SPS) and shock in rats. Adult male Wistar rats were exposed to SPS procedure: restraint for 2 h, forced swim for 20 min, and ether anesthesia. Then the rats were placed in fear conditioning syste...
متن کاملThe effects of Adrenergic agents on the dopaminergic-induced sniffing
There is evidence indicating that adrenoceptor mechanisms may influence some of the behaviors in rat. However the role of adrenoceptor agents on sniffing has not been identified. In the present study, the influence of adrenoceptor agents on sniffing induced by apomorphine and amphetamine has been investigated. Male Albino rats, weighing 150-250 g were used for all experiments. The behavior wa...
